Quality of pool water

There are different methods for testing the swimming pool water. On the one hand, there are the manual pool testers. On the other hand, there are also digital alternatives available.

If you want to test the water in your swimming pool by hand, you can use pool test strips or a pool water test set.

With the test strips, you simply dip the test strip briefly in the water and then read off the water quality against the colour code on the packaging. Most test strips measure 3 or 4 values.

If you use a pool water test set, then you can only test the chlorine and pH values. Take a little bit of water from the pool, add 5 drops of the test liquid and compare the colours in the test set with the packaging.

Among the digital variations, we recommend the Scuba II from Lovibond. With this, you test the pool water quality using test tablets. Take a test tablet, put it in the digital tester and dissolve the test tablet. After a few seconds, you can perform the test and read off the value of a particular parameter.
