CTX-373 chlorine tablets are slow-acting tablets that provide long-lasting disinfection through a constant release of chlorine. The powerful 250g tablets efficiently kill algae and other bacteria in your pool water, so you can enjoy crystal-clear water with minimal maintenance.
Dosage and application
Before adding chlorine tablets to the pool, the pH level of your water should be up to standard (between 7.2 and 7.6 pH). If necessary, add pH-min or pH-plus for this purpose.
Once a week, add 1 chlorine tablet per 25 m³ of pool water via the skimmer or via a dosage float. Preferably open the packaging in the open air and do not simply throw the chlorine tablets into the pool, as they can cause stains on the lining.
In cool weather, the duration of action is about 12 to 14 days. In very hot weather, the duration of action is much shorter. During warm months, it is assumed that you should place new chlorine tablets in the skimmer baskets every week.
When using tablets, the filter system should be in operation for at least 12 hours and best also in a number of different blocks. In this way, the action of the chlorine tablets is more effective. Chlorine tablets should be removed from the skimmer basket if the filter system is shut down for long periods of time in order to prevent the foil and/or skimmer pipes from being damaged by chlorine over-concentration.
Check the chlorine level of your water regularly, preferably weekly. The ideal value is between 1 and 2 mg per litre of water (> 1ppm and < 2 ppm). For your check, use one of our test kits.
The dosing of chlorine tablets depends on the use and temperature of the pool. Weather conditions and the location of the pool can also play an important role. Respect the safety regulations and keep the chlorine tablets out of the reach of children.
