The models referred to above can be divided into 4 categories:
Basic = These are simple pool robots with a limited number of technological gadgets, and very attractively priced. Ideal for first time robot buyers. They are the entry-level models. The Dolphin E20 comes under this category
Classic = These automatic swimming pool cleaners are interesting in terms of price but also have extra added value compared with the basic pool cleaners. The Dolphin S200 comes under this category.
Advanced = These pool robots are the best-selling devices and are characterised by an excellent price/quality ratio. Although slightly more expensive, these robots have all the functions needed for excellent pool cleaning. The Dolphin M400 and the Wave 50 come under this category.

Pool robots remove dirt particles from the swimming pool by sucking up the water (with the dirt) and pushing it through the robot's internal filter. The result: clear pool water. The filter type will be different depending on your pool robot.
Filter bags have been used in pool robots for a long time. The dirt ends up in the bag and cannot get out again.
One advantage of a filter bag is that a lot of dirt can be stored in it.
The disadvantage of these filter bags is that you can’t easily clean them again. Fortunately, though, you can put them in a washing machine.
The following pool robots use a filter bag: Wave 50 and Wave 100.
The filter cartridges are the 2nd generation filter types. Here you can choose between ultra-fine filters and regular filters for sucking up the dirt.
The fact that each robot can take 2 cartridges means that your pool robot can suck up a whole lot of dirt.
You should bear in mind that the pool robot will not climb the walls as easily when using the ultra-fine filters. We recommend generally using the normal filters and then changing to the ultra-fine variety once a month.

With the S300i, you automatically get a Multi Layer filter basket. Here you can combine the ultra-fine and standard filters without affecting the functioning of the robot.

As your Dolphin pool robot moves around the swimming pool, the swivel joint ensures that the cable stays clear.
This technology ensures that the entire swimming pool is cleaned. The robot uses advanced scanning software and a gyroscopic navigation system for this. In this way, the robot knows the size of the pool and its position in the pool.
Based on this information, the robot determines the most efficient route. The automatic cleaner navigates around the obstacles it scans and then returns to its cleaning pattern.
With the MyDolphin™ app, you can control the robot directly from your smartphone. The application for your pool robot works on all tablets and smartphones and is available from the Appstore and for Android.
You can easily pair the app and the pool robot via Bluetooth. Once the communication has been established, the app has a very user-friendly feel.
The entire communication is via Bluetooth, so if you want to use the application, you have to activate the Bluetooth function on your device.
For the M range, the MyDolphin app has just one function. You can then control your robot manually. In this way, you can also steer the robot to hard-to-reach areas in the pool.

With the Dolphin S300i, you can also use the application for various other functions:
With this function, you can choose between a 1 1/2 hour, 2 hour or 2 1/2 hour cycle. The longer the cycle, the slower the robot will move. Because of the lower speed, it will pick up more dirt.
This timer function enables you to schedule the cleaning times for your pool robot. In this way, you can be sure that the swimming pool is cleaned sufficiently well.
With this timer, you can opt for a single cleaning cycle, or you can also set it for the robot to clean the swimming pool every week at the same time.
With this function, you can delay the start of the cleaning cycle. You can use this, for example, to first let the dirt settle on the floor. You then first switch off the filter and set the timer. After 1 hour, when the dirt has settled, the robot can then start cleaning. This way, you get even more dirt removed from the pool.
Just like the M500, you have several programmes to choose from on the Dolphin S300i. In the standard programme, the robot does one cycle of the entire swimming pool (floor and walls). You can also select ‘Fast’, ‘Floor only’, ‘Waterline’ or ‘Ultra Clean’.
‘Fast’ stands for a quick cleaning cycle. The pool is then spruced up a bit.
‘Floor only’ means that the robot will only clean the floor.
‘Waterline’ means that the robot will only clean the walls.
‘Ultra Clean’ is a longer and slower cleaning programme in which the walls and floor are cleaned intensively.
Finally, you can also view the statistics of your cleaning robot in the application.
