Measuring water quality is an essential aspect of swimming pool maintenance. It is the only way to ensure that the water quality remains optimal, and that the correct dosage of maintenance products is used. With the Scuba II from Lovibond, you have an outstanding digital tester at your disposal!

The Scuba II from Lovibond is an extremely reliable digital water quality tester. With this digital tester from Lovibond, you can check 5 water parameters, namely free chlorine, total chlorine, pH value, cyanuric acid level and alkalinity.
The Scuba 2 has several enhanced functions and an innovative design, allowing easy measurement of water quality. Compared with the Scuba I, this digital water quality tester has more effective sensors, which ensure better results.
For this Scuba II from Lovibond, you will need to carry out a zero calibration for the first use. When you activate the Scuba 2 digital tester for the first time, it will request this initial zero calibration measurement. You only need to do this once as long as the tester remains switched on, unless you wish to test the quality of other water.

On the top of the Scuba II digital water tester, you will see a compartment which you can fill with the water that you wish to test. Thanks to the waterproof qualities of the tester, you can simply scoop up water from the swimming pool.
Next, close the compartment and press ZERO/TEST. You will then carry out a zero calibration measurement.
Using the MODE button, you can select the testing parameter. Add the correct tablet to the water and let it dissolve, using the stirrer. Close the compartment again and press ZERO/TEST again.
Within 15 seconds you can read the values on the screen. After this, rinse out the tester and dry it off to keep it as well maintained as possible.
The measurement takes place using photometric principles. By adding the tablet, the water takes on a characteristic colour. This is how the tester can then ascertain the correct result.
The target values for pool water are:
- Ph: 7.2-7.4
- Free chlorine: 0.5-3 mg /l
- Bound chlorine: <1 mg /l
- Alkalinity: 100-200 mg /l
- Cyanoic acid: <70 mg /l
